ARCADIA – Two concerts and a Volkswagen show will kick off June events at the Arcadia Round Barn.
The Price Family Band will provide Morning Music from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1. Tim Price and his daughters Ruby and Macy from Troy, Ill., will stop at the Round Barn as part of their summer musical tour.
On Sunday, June 2, Edgar Cruz and Marco Tell from The Brave Amigos will perform from 2 to 4 p.m. as part of the new Elm Tree Concert Series. Visitors can bring a lawn chair or sit at the picnic tables for the outdoor concert beneath the shade of the giant elm tree. Handicap-accessible parking is available on the north side of the barn.
Members of the OKC Volkswagen Club will “Circle the Wagens” around the barn from noon to 4 p.m. June 2. The Wicked Hangry food truck from Edmond will provide burgers and other treats. Commemorative T-shirts from the Circle the Wagens Route 66 tour are available in the Round Barn gift shop along with other Route 66, Oklahoma and Round Barn merchandise.
The Arcadia Round Barn is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free but donations are accepted for the maintenance of the barn, which was built in 1898. The barn is six miles east of Interstate 35 on Historic Route 66.
