

Oklahoma County- A Harrah High School Teacher was arrested at school Thursday for having an inappropriate texting relationship with a student.
Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division arrested 29-year-old Charles James Copeland on May 23, 2019. Copeland faces a complaint of indecent or lewd act with a child. Copeland, a teacher and coach at Harrah High School, communicated with a 16-year-old female student via cellphone texts about sexual acts, and contact between the two.
The OCSO affidavit states: “After being notified by the school several months ago that the teacher had posted inappropriate comments about her 16-year-old daughter, the mother began watching her daughter’s phone and found numerous text messages between her daughter and Copeland.”
Copeland lives in Midwest City and was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
