
Several Luther High School athletes have earned bids to the State 2A State Track and Field Finals, and trio of students will compete in three separate events. At the Regional qualifying meet last weekend, Sasha Wilson, in her senior year, finished first in Shot Put and she will have a chance to two-peat as a State Champion this weekend at State at Western Heights High School. Her throw was 38’05.”

Senior Jackson Brown also earned a state bid, coming in first place with his throw of 48’03.50.” Jaden McGee is also going to state in shot put.
Senior Lauren Coates was a qualifier in the longjump with a personal record leap of 16’6,” earning her a fourth place at Regionals, enough to get her to the state meet.
Caitlin Bailey will make another run at a first place finish at state in pole vault. She came in first with a jump of 9’6″ at Regionals, and also qualified in the 100 m hurdles.
