
Syrus Grisby hit two dunks in the first quarter. That got the crowd into the home court matchup Tuesday night against Mounds. The Luther Lions got the win with a 51-41 score against the Eagles. The Lions won consolation champion at last weekend’s CNIT Tournament in Talihina.


Senior Grisby scored 14 total points for the Lions making his season average 12.7 point per game. Junior Gerald McCauley carried the team in rebounds and assists with nine and three respectively with 11 points.

Junior Tyler Becker also scored 11 points. Junior Cole Mills made two three-pointers and a layup for eight points, and Lake Lombard was on the rebound and assist leaderboard with three of each.On defense, Grisby was champ with four steals, and two of those in the first period led to goals.
The Lions last game before Christmas Break is December 20 at home against Jones.
