Podcast, recapping the Win and Looking at Hennessey

Homecoming & Military Appreciation Night

It was a win against Centennial High School for the Luther Lions last week, and Coach Zack Smith, Lion Reporter Jacob Factor and Host Scott Mitchell of Mitchell Talks break it down. The trio also previews the  district game against Hennessey, the first matchup up since the Lions’ stunning defeat to the Eagles in last season’s playoffs.

Friday Night Lights at Wilson Field, October 5,  will feature Homecoming Festivities and Military Appreciation. Fans will see the Lions in special camo jerseys, with just a few number changes. All past and present members of the military will get in to the game for free with an ID, and will be recognized at Half-Time, along with the Pride of Luther Band half-time performance.

Coach Smith said the Lions have five more chances to get three more wins for a district play-off bid. Big stakes. Big games. Big time.

“I like being around these kids. They are a great group. They are not going to quit. They are a pleasure to be around. They are good solid young men,” said Coach Smith.

See you at Wilson Field.
