The east side of town is growing. My Sister & Me, a boutique featuring ladies apparel, Western art and accessories opened recently near the Dollar General, Rock N Vapes, and the soon-to-open coffee shop Brew 66, under construction. It’s also near the construction of the new BancFirst location adjacent to Route 66.

Owner Betty J Goffinett styled and carefully curated the space at 426 Dogwood with one-of-a-kind items, some of which are handmade and some from the market. If you need a gift for someone, or something for yourself, the cozy space offers much to choose from and admire.
“Luther needed something,” she said, “instead of going to Chandler or Edmond, you can buy here and stay in our community.” Looking out of her front window, you can see the steady stream of Route 66 motorists going by. Like every shop and restaurant owner in Luther, she’d like to see those travelers start stopping and seeing what Luther has to offer.

The space also features some of Betty’s own artwork and creative touches, such as her beautiful hand-painted horses.
Betty and her husband, Bob, have been in the area for about 15 years. She’s a Colorado native, and an artist with a flair for design and decor with a Southwest emphasis. Visitors will enjoy the variety and the conversation. Betty has stories to tell.
“I love people,” she said. Asked whether she’s ready to launch into the retail business, she said, “Anything new is risky. You have to have the heart to try.”
Her heart is all in it. Shop hours will give a nod to evening shopping for those coming back into town after a day of work elsewhere. My Sister & Me is open Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 7 pm.
