Stitt Takes Luther, primary runoff results

There were 268 votes cast today by registered voters at the Luther Community Center, the biggest precinct for Luther’s residents.

During Stitt’s visit to Luther in June, he met with Luther High School sophomore Ryan Jasper and others.

The 196 Republican voters chose Kevin Stitt for Governor, and mostly chose political newcomers over incumbents. Matt Pinnell for Lieutenant Governor, Charlie Prater for State Auditor, Gentner Drummond for Attorney General, Joy Hofmeister for State Superintendent, Leslie Osborn for Labor Commissioner, Brian Bingman for Corporation Commssioner.

One Libertarian voter chose Chris Powell for governor.

There were 71 Democrats who voted today at the main polling place for Luther residents. Thy chose Ashley Nicole for Corporation Commisioner and Kendra Horn for Congress.

In the County Commission race, Al McAffrey edged Carrie Blumert by one vote.

In November, Sitt will appear on the ballot with Democrat Drew Edmondson who also visited Luther earlier this year, and the Libertarian nominee.
