A January accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist has led to charges against a Luther man.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office said several months of investigation led to the one count of negligent homicide against 72-year-old John Zachary Gentry. OCSO said their investigation of data determined that Gentry turned directly into the path of a motorcycle at Waterloo and Council Road on January 28, 2018.
The accident killed James Paul Blanchard, 54, of Edmond.
OCSO also said the Ford Explorer Gentry was driving did not have registration nor insurance. Gentry was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Sunday with a $10,000 bond.
