Over the last few years, Luther has experienced a population boom and with that comes a need for more housing. However, with the increased housing demand, the town has seen less and less inventory for sale. In 2016, 49 homes sold in the Luther area compared to 42 homes in 2017. There are currently 18 homes on the market ranging between $25,000- $1,475,000. The Luther housing market is very diverse. Though, in 2016 and 2017 homes under $250,000 with acreage have sold the quickest with less than 10 days on the market. Days on the market have decreased from an average of 62 days in 2016 to 60 days in 2017 and the median days on the market are 27 days. The percentage of list price received has also increased from 95.80% in 2016 to 98.10% in 2017. All this data shows that the market in Luther right now is HOT! We have seen a real desire in the market to move to our small town, but less inventory than in the past.
