Those two words are being used to describe the “possibility” that murder suspect Michael Vance could be in our area.
Word came before Noon today that Vance might have been driving back to our area (OKC, or Lincoln County) after he was spotted in western Oklahoma, in Sayre where he allegedly shot a motorist in an attempted carjacking of an RV, according to authorities. Then word came from authorities, that he possibly “could” be in Luther.
All day, Luther has had an increased police presence with Luther Police Department, OHP and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. In addition, Luther schools was on partial lockdown, helicopters have circled, and there is no update on his whereabouts. There have been PLENTY of rumors swirling about.
The last known official whereabouts of Vance according to authorities, is the Sayre sighting this morning, still driving the Wilkson’s Mitsubishi.
No sighting. No word of where he is now. Still fully a danger.
Meanwhile, Luther mourns the loss of Kay and Don Wilkson, longtime Luther residents shot and nearly mutilated allegedly by Vance last night at their home on 206th (Covell) at Triple X.
Kay was a longtime beloved waitress at Josephine’s cafe where they remembered her today with this post:
“All of us at Josephine’s express our deepest sympathy to the families of Ron and Kay Wilkson. Kay worked at the café for many, many years, long before we owned it. She also worked for us for quite awhile before she decided to change jobs. Kay was ALWAYS a joy! Everyone loved her. We will keep the family in our prayers and pray that justice is swift for this horrible man who took their lives.”
So we wait. We cut through rumors and wild speculation and hope the authorities WILL give us information when it is available. We keep showing Vance’s picture and saying his last known vehicle is the Whitson’s car, that silver Mitsubishi, Oklahoma license tag, 943 LQQ. Remember, Vance was shot in the original shooting in Wellston, in the shoulder and may be injured further.
If you have any information, call 911.
