Officially Dollar General’s corporate office in Tennessee says two to three weeks of construction remain with a grand opening slated in October.
Around town, folks are saying the new store on Hwy 66 might be open on September 9, after closing the current store on Ash for three days prior for the big move.

Oklahoma County Assessor records show that DolGenCorp LLC purchased the property from Walmart Real Estate Business Trust on July 26, 2016, for $750,000. The assessor shows the value of the property at $1.3 million.
The Town of Luther sold the three-acre property to Walmart in December 2014, for $160,000,
The current Dollar General store is expected to go on the market for sale once it is vacated.
