Oklahoma Country Homes

The Smiths lost their home in a fire earlier this month. The tables have turned on a family that helps others, as now they are grateful for others helping them.

“My family and I are very thankful and feel beyond blessed. I never expected this amount of support. Mostly because we devote our time to helping others, not ourselves. BUT, to see everyone come together gives me satisfaction knowing there are A LOT of people who care and love others as we do. Saturday is going to be a very emotional day for us but we are looking forward to it. Since insurance does not cover all of our personal items, we will be using all funds donated to our family to help us refurnish our house, and help us stay afloat until we we get a new home. Our main concern is getting our kids ready for school,” said Josh Smith, aka DJ Shorty B, who runs Opus Entertainment.

Check out the FB Event page here, and let organizers know if you are coming. A good time will be had by all.

Every town needs news. The Luther Register is part of a growing movement of local, independent, online news that shines an informative light in our communities. Readers can support the work through one-time or monthly donations, advertising to directly reach an audience, sponsorships and also through participating in our events, such as the annual Luther Pecan Festival held in November. #lutherlocal #localnews
