Benefit Fund for Christian Hardison

An account is set up at Luther’s BancFirst to collect funds for the family of Christian Hardison as they prepare for his funeral.

The account name is “Benefit Fund for Christian Hardison.” Donations can be made at any BancFirst location.

Meantime, Luther seventh graders are coping as they are back in school together for the first time since Friday’s accident.

Thirteen-year-old Christian passed away Friday in a drowning accident on the Deep Fork River. About 200 friends, family and other mourners gathered at the bridge Sunday to set up a memorial for the boy and to pray.

Christian’s father, Chris, said he was a good boy and he was planning on his son having a great basketball career. His mother, Angela, wore her son’s Russell Westbrook Thunder t-shirt that he had recently asked her to buy for him. Both parents comforted others and gave words of encouragement to Christian’s friends who brought flowers, gifts and other memorials.

When the funeral is arranged, we will share the information.
