Election 2017Town

Audit Presented, and no apology

The meeting last 2.5 hours, and included a stern talking to by the auditor to the board on findings from the Town audit that covered the time of July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016. The auditor said if the Town doesn’t figure out how to prevent chronic turnover in the office, and bickering among the elected officials, serious financial issues will continue. The Luther Register  previewed many of the audit issues that were presented Thursday night.

It was the Special Town Meeting of the Luther Town Board of Trustees. Almost all of the candidates for the Town Board attended the meeting. The election is next Tuesday.

Before we gather all of the reactions and transcribe all of the quotes to report on the meeting, perhaps you should watch the video. Watch it especially if you have the time, intend to vote, and care about our town. And please comment below. You can also view the video on Luther Register’s FB page.
